Terms

Terms of Use

These terms cover buying and using the TileMyMac app and this website. We've kept them short and in plain words. By buying or using TileMyMac, you agree to them.

Last updated October 15, 2026

Your license

  • When you buy TileMyMac, you get a personal, non-exclusive license to use it on as many Macs as your plan covers: 1, 3 or 5. It's a one-time purchase, with no subscription.
  • Your license key works on that many Macs at once. Switching Macs? Deactivate the old one in TileMyMac's settings and activate the new one, or email us and we'll help.
  • Please don't share, resell or publish your license key, or try to get around the license check.
  • TileMyMac is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights to the app, its name and its design.

Updates

Updates to TileMyMac are free for license holders. We may add, change or remove features over time. We'll aim to keep TileMyMac working on new versions of macOS, but we can't promise every future macOS release will be supported.

Payment and refunds

  • Dodo Payments sells TileMyMac on our behalf as the merchant of record. Your payment, receipt and any sales tax are handled by Dodo, and Dodo's terms apply to the purchase itself.
  • Prices are shown on this website and can change. A sale price applies only while the sale is running when you check out.
  • 7-day money-back guarantee: if TileMyMac isn't right for you, email support@tilemymac.app within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. After a refund, the license key stops working.

Open source

TileMyMac's window engine is built on Paneru, which is open source under the MIT license. Paneru and the other open-source parts of TileMyMac keep their own licenses. These terms cover the rest of TileMyMac.

Using TileMyMac

  • TileMyMac needs macOS's Accessibility permission to arrange your windows. You can turn it off anytime, and TileMyMac never closes your windows or changes what's in them.
  • Use TileMyMac lawfully, and don't use it to harm others or their computers.
  • Some apps and windows may not behave well when arranged, because of how they're built. That's not a defect of your license, but please tell us so we can try to improve it.

No warranty

We work hard to make TileMyMac reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. That includes any warranty that it will be error-free, work with every app, or meet every need.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as lost data, lost work or lost profits, from using or not being able to use TileMyMac. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for TileMyMac. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law.

Ending these terms

You can stop using TileMyMac anytime by quitting it and deleting it. If you break these terms, for example by sharing your license key publicly, we may deactivate your license.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. The terms in place when you bought TileMyMac still cover that purchase.
